2025 - Why We're Moving Our Job Boards

Since 2008 we’ve designed, developed and hosted our own proprietary job board platform for our four healthcare and social care job boards in the UK and Ireland.
That’s about to change and I can’t wait to migrate all four of them to Jobiqo.
It will take us forward knowing we are offering healthcare and social care recruiters the most advanced candidate attraction and matching tools available.
Market leading 'future-ready' technology for a mature job board business
It is not the first time we've updated our platform (as the screengrabs at the end of this article show). We've been highly agile as a small business; quickly adapting to an ever-changing internet environment with evolving demands and expectations.
However, this marks our first collaboration with partners who will oversee the entire platform and its development roadmap, leveraging their expertise in leading job board solutions.
Jobiqo's platform already offers features that recruiters should expect from a modern job board, including AI, programmatic, ATS integration with disposition data, sophisticated matching capabilities, and highly advanced on-page SEO.
There are a whole raft of features - it is a platform as old as our own business. For instance, because we know our UK customer do not want overseas applications, we will call upon Geo-Blocking functionality.
With Jobiqo, we will be able to compete even more robustly against Reed, Totaljobs, CV Library and Indeed. And we will out-compete those generalists for targeted audience reach and attraction - and passion.
A job board’s future requires AI, matching and programmatic tech
So, yes, the reason for this big decision is to do with tech.
Advancements in TA tech are moving incredibly fast. Faster in 2025 than ever before. I’ve worked on the internet since 1997 and the pace of change now is quicker than anything I’ve seen.
I remember in 2010 (ish) looking at our traffic data and seeing the rise of mobile usage. We acted, pretty quickly, and re-launched with a fully responsive site a year later.
That kind of change seems small beer compared to the seismic shifts happening in tech now.
For our business, we cannot adapt quickly enough on our own platform to enjoy the benefits new technologies will bring. Jobiqo’s platform can.
15 years on, the big conversations in talent attraction and recruitment are AI, programmatic and matching.
In short, significant advancements in digital recruitment tools.
It’s vital we take advantage of them; they offer fantastic opportunities. We might not know where they will take us, but by embracing them now, we’ll be part of the journey.

Tech isn’t the death of job boards but their lifeblood
I disagree with the naysayers on LinkedIn who, almost weekly, predict that one or all of these things will kill job boards.
I’m 51 years old, which is old enough to remember previous predictions for the demise of job boards whenever new technology arrived - mobiles, apps, social media etc.
In reality, job boards adapt to and harness these innovations and shifts. And, in so doing, job boards have evolved to provide a better user experience, better applications and better CV search for customers. New tech drives us on - so long as we are quick and agile enough to embrace it.
Why Jobiqo?
I believe our current job board software may face challenges in adopting these innovations swiftly; we might not adapt quickly enough on our own platform to reap the benefits these advancements offer.
Jobiqo’s platform can.
The roadmap plan has early Autumn as our deployment date to Jobiqo and I can’t wait
They are now driving some of the world's foremost job boards, including The New York Times and Finland's excellent Jobly.
Plus, I know that the team at Jobiqo share my vision and enthusiasm for how we might use these new tools to better serve our job seeking users and our hiring customers as we head into a future that will be very much about performance marketing offerings, programmatic, matching, and the harnessing of AI tools to make the UX and CX ever-better - frictionless, easy, fast.
Between May and September 2025
We are about to begin our migration. It will take a few months. The roadmap plan has early Autumn as our deployment date to Jobiqo, and I can’t wait.
More insights on talent acquisition tech coming soon
Between now and then, I’ll post three articles sharing my views on key technologies shaping the future of job boards.
- Why ATS integration and disposition data matter
- AI and Matching sets the new era for job boards
- Where niche job boards excel: advanced targeting
I'll post them on this blog and email you once I've done so.
For now...

For (mostly our own) fun, we thought we'd share our different home pages over the years. We look forward to unveiling our new one later this year.
